FAQ

What is the account number? What if I lose it?

Express sign-up generates a 16-digit account number, which is your login credential. If you link a phone number or email and set a password under Account & settings, you can also log in with phone/email + password, and a verified email lets you reset your password. If nothing is linked, a lost account number cannot be recovered.

How do I add credit, and how long does it take?

In the dashboard, open Top up, choose an amount, pay by scanning the WeChat QR code, then click “I've paid”. Payments are checked by hand and usually credited within minutes. You can also redeem a code.

How is usage billed? Are failed requests charged?

Per token: input tokens × input price + output tokens × output price. Failed requests are free. Every request is itemized under Request logs.

What's the difference between Creator and Researcher?

Creator responds instantly and suits writing and role-play. Researcher thinks before answering and suits coding, reverse engineering and complex analysis; its reasoning counts as output tokens.

What should I do about a 429 error?

Each API key has a per-minute request limit; going over it returns 429. Wait a moment or retry with exponential backoff. Need a higher quota? Tell us with the feedback form.

My API key leaked. What now?

Delete it right away under API Keys in the dashboard and create a new one. A deleted key stops working immediately.

Which clients and tools can I use?

Any SDK or tool that supports the OpenAI API. Set the base URL to https://lacia.app/v1 and enter your API key.

Can I use it in QQ?

Yes. Connect your own QQ bot under QQ contact in the dashboard, and Lacia shows up in your QQ message list. Just chat; usage is billed to your balance. It takes about two minutes and needs no server or always-on computer.
